Steve Job’s Reality Distortion Field

It was coined by Bud Tribble at Apple to describe Steve Job’s charisma and the way he just got things done. It was Steve Jobs way of pushing the impossible.

The question then is did Steve Jobs truly distort reality?

I personally believe he did. I believe that the social proof is how large and how creative Apple became under his leadership. You look at was attainted over the course of his life and I can only say one word. AMAZING.

I think the issue with understanding reality is that people are expecting changes instantaneously. They want to manifest a material world with no issues, no problems, and total Utopia. The problem with this logic is that reality (though I think you can attain) is not truly what people want.

Life is about experience and growth. It is about solving issues and contributing. It is not about some magician waving a wand and having all your dreams come true. The genie does exist but it comes from getting clear and doing the daily work. Think of the daily work you do on yourself as rubbing the lamb. As you rub the lamp more dreams and wishes come true. You also get more clear about what you truly want. Which is the bottom line issue.

If Steve Jobs could and did distort reality then you can to. What are you listening to? Who are you surrounded by? Could these things be distorting your realty now? Could they be stopping you creating the experience you are after?

Success leaves clues. It truly does. Look around for the social proof of other beings that are doing remarkable things. It is an amazing time to be alive. Believe that and watch your reality start to change.

Many blessings to you. Focus on your own personal growth and keep moving forward. Remember, it only takes 1% improvement everyday. Just make sure you are working on  it.

One of the best Inspriational Quotes of all time

I am a huge fan of inspirational quotes. There are times when the right quote picks you up and gets you moving forward. I am a HUGE sports fan and growing up in Indiana just outside of Chicago there was not bigger athlete then Michael Jordan. In the 80’s during my teen years it seemed as if he could do not wrong. Winning championships and defying gravity he was everywhere.

I was never a huge Chicago Bulls fan but you could not help but see the greatness of Micheal Jordan in the sport of basketball. It was just amazing how at the end of the game you just knew he was going to score. With all his sports accolades I just had a major respect for Michael Jordan.

It was not this basketball skill that though that had much of an effect on me. What did was this quote later in life. It made me think that if Michael Jordan had some issues I could succeed too. It made me see that most people don’t remember your failures they remember your victories and most important it taught me you have to keep shooting!

As Zig Ziglar says, “the big shot is just the little shot that keeps shooting.”

It is with this I share on of my favorite inspirational quotes of all time. I even had this on my wall in my office.

“I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.” Michael Jordan

I have put this in an image. If you would like to use this for you own website all I ask is that you link back to us here at http://www.morningcoach.com .

Inspirational Quote Michel Jordan

Keep taking those shots! You never know when you are going to hit the game winner!

Being comfortable outside of your comfort zone

I call it the gift and the curse; it was an experience that provided me a valuable lesson along with financial hardship. My experience with a certainGetting_out_personal_developmentmultilevel marketing company was met with audacious visions of being able to become rich as long a I put myself out there and followed the path that was laid out before me. Prior to becoming a part of this group I was naturally shy, which made it hard for me to talk people that I was unfamiliar with. My self esteem was never educated with positive reinforcement until then.

As part of our training within the MLM (Multi Level Marketing) group we were required to read personal development books, listen to sales tapes, and attend meetings/conferences all on a periodic basis. Yet the most challenging part was prospecting, this meant that I needed to look for prospective clients or potential partners to bring into the business. The only way that I was going to be able to accomplish this was to actually go up to strangers and some how convince them to join my business. Where ever there were people gathered, I had to be there, whether if it was at Barnes n Noble, or the local mall. They say that public speaking is one of the biggest fears people have, yet I think this was a notch higher. It was one of the most uncomfortable and liberating experiences ever. The more I did it the better I got at it, I received a lot of no’s but I also received a lot of yeses. I soon transformed from a shy person to a prospecting machine, it gave me some insight into the power of human will. Yet the key ingredient to motivating oneself and others to go outside the comfort zone is to have a strong Why.

Why is the fuel needed in order to get to the destination that you are destined to arrive to, along this journey you will have to do certain things that will require you to go outside of your comfort zone. It is during these times where the Why becomes the determinant factor as to whether or not you will be willing to do what it takes to accomplish your goals and dreams. JB Glossinger provides a perfect example when it comes to illustrating the powerful correlation between the Why and human will. He explains “If you were a parent, who god forbid had a child go missing, you would go out and do what ever it took in order to get your child back. If that meant getting on stage and speaking to thousands of people or even going on the television, you would do it without any hesitation.” If this is the case then why is it that so many people are so worried or hesitant go out of their comfort zone in order to reach their true potential?

Life and It’s Meaning

iStock_000015497688XSmallI have yet to meet a person who hasn’t been impacted greatly by their childhood. Of course, many of the memories of those years are filled with happy times and fun experiences, but for some people, they carry the weight of pain, hurt and anger. Often, this painful load mutates into their go-to coping mechanisms.  As adults, these same people continue to use these tools to maneuver through life, work and relationships and thus afflict their children or those around them with the same cycle of pain, hurt and anger.  As it has been said, “The definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over again and expect a different result.” Life for so many of us in the 21st century has become a cycle of insanity.

I can’t imagine that God would design earth and the humans that inhabit it to be “insane” according to that definition.  I would image that it was intended to be a fruitful place where we thrive, grow and progress mentally, physically and spiritually by his grace and love. Somehow pain, hurt and anger don’t really fit into that design.  So how do we begin to live the life we were made for?

Clarify Your Values

So many of us live most of our life unaware of or out of congruency with our deepest values. Take the time to reflect of the things that are your core values.  Whether its honesty, freedom, integrity or whatever, begin to wake up to those values and operate from them each moment.  Be conscious and clear. It’s not about adding a group of en vogue words to your life . It’s about recognizing and awakening to what is already knitted inside you and your DNA. It’s about recognizing what you were made for.

Act in Faith

Values don’t have much “value” if you never put them into action. It takes faith to begin trusting that our unique core values are enough to give life the shape and meaning we desire. It takes conscious effort and action to be honest, even when maybe not everyone at work is 100% honest.  It takes consistent awareness and decision making to live with integrity, doing the right thing, even when no one is looking.  We have to have faith that upholding our values, not someone else’s, is how we were made to live.

Trust

Trust is something, at least for me, that takes tremendous awareness, faith, and letting go of the past, to fully dive in to. But the clincher is that life has no real meaning without trust.  It is the essential component. We must trust God that when one door closes, another is already waiting to open even when we don’t see it.  We must trust that God’s vision for us may be much deeper and fulfilling than our little agenda that we hold onto so dearly. We must trust and love ourselves first before we can attempt to offer real trust and love to someone else.  We must trust that no tough childhood or tough circumstance can take away the divine inner spirit , the unique core values and the overflowing inner peace for which we were each carefully created.

So why do you think so many people all around us, or maybe we ourselves, are living life simply going through the motions? Each person has their own answer and maybe excuse.  God never created us to go through life mindlessly or quietly desperate. He created us in his image and greatness. Its time to start living a life of real meaning and real greatness. It’s time to get clear, to step out in faith and action and to openly trust that we deserve and are perfectly capable to live the life we were truly made for.
